OSCAR AT THE CROWN

3 DOLLAR BILL, 2019
Created by Mark Mauriello
Music & Lyrics by Andrew Barret Cox

OSCAR at The Crown is the immersive nightclub phenomenon detailing the rise and fall one of history’s most extravagant characters: Oscar Wilde. It’s also about “The Real Housewives.” And it’s also about this minor character from the early ought’s TV drama, “The OC.” Described by The New York Times as “a party-inducing Rocky Horror transplanted to a 1990s Madonna video," OSCAR at the Crown explodes in a blaze of passion, spectacle, and heart-bursting catharsis.

"…at once simple, complex, brilliant, and celebratory even while steeped in its own subversion."

THE LILY’S
REVENGE

AMERICAN REPERTORY THEATER, 2012
Written and Conceived by Taylor Mac
Music by Rachelle Garniez

An unforgettable allegory for love without boundaries, The Lily's Revenge is a collaborative community gathering and multidisciplinary extravaganza that weds dance, film, theater, and music into five unique acts with an ensemble of over thirty performers.  The show aims to dismantle established societal rules, traditions and myths; and then, while celebrating the pieces it had pulled apart, rearranges them into the foundation of a new myth with the purpose of inspiring humanity in the here and now.

"...an epic journey; gorgeously designed, emphatically played and oddly disarming..."

DISTANT STAR

ABRONS ARTS CENTER, 2017
Written by Javier Antonio González
Co-Conceived by Shira Milikowsky

The year is 1973. In Chile, a group of young poets meet to write, argue, critique and flirt. Days later, the government collapses and the president is shot. Amidst the brutality, one poet rises to fame as a skywriting daredevil—and, possibly, as a killer. An eerily relevant drama unfolds in Brooklyn-based theater company Caborca’s adaptation of Roberto Bolaño’s novel Distant Star, a harrowing tale of fascism and its aftermath.

"...an ingenious use of various projections and other visual effects, offstage narration and onstage drama, layering image upon word, upon character, upon idea... Milikowsky has created a dialogue among diverse elements."

LITTLE MURDERS

BURGER ON SMITH, 2017
Written by Jules Feiffer

In a decayed and bullet-ridden New York City, the Newquist clan will stop at nothing to maintain their performance of the perfect American family. When daughter Patsy brings home Alfred - a nihilist and worse, her fiancée - they may finally be pushed over the edge. Originally published in 1967, this new production flips things upside down and catapults the play into our present (and future!) political and cultural predicaments. With gender-bent casting and a found, abandoned "home," this darkest of dark comedies asks: how long can you keep a death grip on a world spiraling out of control?
